As I mentioned on Wednesday, in exactly a week I am headed to Prague. As the countdown is now in days and not weeks I have entered full on preparing and packing mode. As I write this clothes are having their final wash and iron all ready to be rolled or folded into a case. Now I should mention here that I am actually sharing a case and carry on; because 1: Bags are expensive to check in and 2. 32Kg is more than enough for two of us for a Monday to Friday trip. As I’ve mentioned in a previous post I’m not a huge make-up wearer but I do enjoy a simple covering of make-up; especially if there are going to be pictures, otherwise I’m just that casper look-alike in the corner/ in front of a cool building/ eating food- you get the gist.
Lets start with the eyes, being the window to the soul or whatever people say. I’m taking a mini of the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in RSVP to act as a base for the Wet’n’Wild Comfort Zone Palette a.k.a my favourite palette on this Earth. For the day I’d wear the rosey pink tone and add some of the gold or darker tones to amp it up for the pm. Such an all rounder. I’d then add a bit of the Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl in Cocoa Bean before adding a couple of swipes of S&G’s Thick and Fast Mascara to really give my lashes some oomph.
Next I move onto my face and I have to admit this is super simple. On a day to day basis I’m not one for blush, bronzer or contour never mind highlighter, so I just use a sweep of this Make Up Revolution Pressed Powder over my face to keep any extra shine at bay. Then I have two lip options that both come from No.7, these mini lip crayons in Delicate Pink and Daydreamer are not only perfect for travel but easy to apply without a mirror, perfect for quick application when the other half is having a five minute nap in-between roaming the city and heaving out for a nice evening meal.
So a simple yet effective set of looks that can be played around with for day and night. Do you think I’m missing anything, or should I take a blush with me after all? Answers soon, this goes into the case in a few days!
