Sometimes you just need a break-you know? So you ca actually have time to think things through and start again. I’d like to pretend that over the last two or so weeks I’ve had blissful afternoons dancing in the sun with peach iced tea. But I haven’t. No; it’s been assignment central here, I’m talking full on APA referencing, journal reading, calculator busting, excel exhausting and brain melting assignments. But the end is in sight, after my final (FINAL!!) proper lecture this morning I now have three weeks of an easter break ahead of me that is seemingly stuffed to the brim with working and revision. Not exactly the mini-egg filed dream I had in mind. Then again for the last six years I have sacrificed my easter for the purpose of Exam revision, so I guess it’s not an overly ‘new’ concept to me either.
Anyway after some light retail therapy, the reward that I granted myself for getting to the end of the hardest semester ever (not an overestimation here folks), I decided to crack my camera out and see what pretty spring like things I could capture in my garden. Ok so this tree is actually in my neighbours garden but with a 48x zoom you’d think it was in mine right? Grand.
I just like how the photo looks, and how the focus picked out that one little branch at the back, everyone needs a chance to shine through I guess; maybe I’ll take that advice myself.
I feel like I have so little to so due to the fact that my brain has turned into a carousel of formulas, proofs and methods in order to get through this final 17 hours of exams. The upside? It’s all over in less than two months. All the hard work for the past three years gone on a wednesday afternoon at 12:30pm (the time my exam ends- I didn’t just pull this time out of thin air) in June. Crazy how fast it has actually come round, you always have it in your head that it’s never going to be you next, that you’ll never get there. When in fact you’re closer to the finish line than you’ll let yourself be.
In other news I’ve just watched the Hunger Games on Netflix and it was pretty good. I’m not a fan of the second and third books though so highly doubt I’ll be watching anymore of them. Has the third film even come out yet? Going to have to google that one…
