As I’ve previously mentioned, I’m a bit of a travel junkie (see here, here and here for my most recent trip photo diaries!) and I’m starting to get the itch to go on another holiday. Luckily for me I have one booked for exactly a month today; which means I probably should be planning what I’ll be taking, but never the less I’m here to share with you the 8 places that are currently on my travel bucket list!
Starting at the top of my bucket list with Walt Disney World Florida; this is a re-visit for me as I have been here four times, but with my most recent trip being over five years ago a lot seems to have changed. The food (the fact I spend a lot of time on the dibb doesn’t help when you see everything from Grey stuff cupcakes to ginormous plates of Mexican food), the rides and the parks in general have changed so much. Fingers crossed a trip can be planned in the next few years!
Since travelling to Prague in March and falling in love with the charm of the old city I’ve really fancied a short city break to Budapest that rumour has it, seems to be even prettier than the Czech capital. I really like the look of all the old buildings and can imagine many a good museum to reside there (can you see my knowledge nerd just flying out of me?). Also this is similar with Paris. Having never been to the French capital but enjoying other parts of France I’d really like to head up the Eiffel Tower, eat pastries on the grass and possibly go and see the Mona Lisa, not that she’d be expecting me or anything…
Onto Morocco; having nearly booked a trip there for this year (if it wasn’t for horrific flight times then it would be going ahead!) I’d really like to go and explore both the markets and the amazing beaches. I think Agadir is more suited to me, after reading reviews, as it mixes the beach part of a holiday with the heritage sights and beautiful colours, patterns and textures make this country rank up high on my need to visit list. Just think about all those patterned tiles swoon.
Now Dubai was never somewhere that previously appealed to me as a destination but my parents have been a handful of times and really enjoy it every visit. It’s that kind of opulent luxury and wealth, that even if I win big on the lottery I wouldn’t be part of the mega rich that reside there, but a four day visit to shop, explore the new and old towns and to see some of the tallest buildings on Earth? Where do I write my name down?
Now for the other Americas; as mentioned above I have previously visited Las Vegas (twice in-fact) and each time I’ve loved the atmosphere and buzz of everything. It’s the city that has no time and no concept of normal life. The Disney World for adults that’s even brighter, noisier and more unbelievable than you could ever fathom. Where else in the world has rollercoasters and aquariums inside a hotel? Madness, but I’ll 100% be going back.
Then for the one that started this all off. The Big Apple; New York City. I haven’t got myself there yet, but one day I’ll go and I’m hoping that I’ll enjoy it as much as everyone else. The list of things to do there is longer than I am tall (and it’s really small writing) so I think I’m hoping that I wont have to sleep for the entire time I’m under Lady Liberty’s watch. I’ll have to get some comfy shoes for that trip though, walking miles a day has to be done with shoes that feel like clouds right?
So where else do you think should be on my list? Or where do you all want to visit one day…I mean I do need a travel buddy wink wink.
