Ever since I hopped off the 10 hour flight to Las Vegas over a year and a half ago, by-passed the gambling tables and got my way into the shopping malls I fell in love with Victoria’s Secret. I’m not sure if it’s the layout of the shops or the insanely great offers ($10 for one pair of knickers or 5 for $27? I know what I’d rather pick) that gripped me but I came away with two rather large bags. Since then the stores have opened in the UK and I’ve had the pleasure of going into the stores at the Trafford Centre and Bond Street. Yes the prices are a little more expensive over this side of the atlantic and not all the ranges do make it over here but I still love the brand never-the-less.
It seems strange to harp on about knickers but I’ve never worn anything so comfortable and light. The offer (5 for £20 over here) means that you can mix and match between seamless and lace to name but a few and the constant changing of the patterns mean you could never accidentally buy the same pair. Perfect.
I also adore the scents. Now this area of the shop is not only beautiful but you’ll find yourself wanting nearly everything you smell, which isn’t the most practical for your purse if I’m honest. My favourite scent (the one I’m now rationing the use of) is Love Spell; a blend of cherry blossom and peach that makes me want to eat myself every-time I wear it. It’s fresh, fruity and floral at the same time while having that “ohh yes I’m an angel in training” vibe, when in reality I’m far too short and don’t look like the absolute beauties that stroll round in their underwear with giant wings on stage. Never mind eh?
The first scent I purchased (over in America) was a mini of the Bombshell forever scent. Holey Moley I have no idea where to start with this one. It’s simply the most beautiful thing I think I have ever smelt: it’s playful while still being a little sexy and has berry notes (apparently- a google search told me this) that make it ever so fresh and fruity. If I’m going out this is what I wear, if I’m having a bad day this is what I wear. Problem is that I can’t find it in store anymore and I’m scared that it no longer exists. Which is completely and utterly heart breaking.
A new favourite that is also practical is this roller-ball perfume called Forbidden, it’s a mix of pear, jasmine and amber wood and apparently is from the very sexy collection (something I am not I assure you) but I do love this not only for its practicality but for the slightly muskier scent. This is perfect for travel and throwing in your bag on a day to day basis.
All in all I think it’s safe to say that I really enjoy Victoria’s Secret, oh and the Pink dog? I got in free with my purchase in London in August, along side amazing offers it’s nice to get such a cute freebie with a purchase of yet more knickers. Hey I may as well treat myself from time to time!
