When we decided we were going to be headed to Prague for a five day city trip I figured I’d be a little nosey and see if they had any shops that we don’t have readily available at home; I had a browse and realised that there were a few Sephora stores dotted around the city centre. Many people say that the European ones aren’t that good, but if you’re a fan of the Sephora Collection (I am) and don’t want to have to sell a kidney to cover the extra taxes they add on to the American shipping, then it’s the bomb-diggity. Right?
I’d already realised (with the help of Google maps street view) that there was a store pretty much around the corner from the hotel, it was super central but was rather small. But accidentally we wandered into the Palladium shopping centre and taaadaaaa! A lovely huge Sephora with friendly staff and a huge range of the Sephora collection. To make this even better they had an offer on that was pretty much 3 for 2* on all of the collection, covering make-up, nails, brushes, skincare and even make-up pouches. Perfect.
Having fell in love with the Jumbo Liner in Beige that I picked up in the States I decided I’d go for a different one, this time picking Taupe. It’s a lovely bronzey taupe (as the name would suggest) that really stays put but is easy to blend on first application. I also picked up another eye brush, this time going for the Classic Must Have Powder Shadow Brush (60) as I don’t have any brushes that are this flat. It’s going to be perfect to pack quite a bit of colour (or in my case champagne) onto the eyes. I also decided to pick myself up an everyday Lipstick, deciding on the Rouge Shine Lipstick in 04-So Cute that is the perfect everyday colour that adds a little peachy pink to the lips but it creamy and glossy enough to be applied without the need for a mirror/ clean public transport window/ your front facing camera. Being as this offer was too good to miss I also picked up the Cream Lip Stain in 05 and 03 (you know the blogger favourite that is always out of stock online?) for my sister, as she is a fan of the bold lip whereas I am not, as I fear I would look like a clown. I then also umm-ed and ahh-ed but as my boyfriend told me “you’ve picked it up enough, just buy it please” I realised I wouldn’t be happy if I hadn’t of left without the Colorful Blush in Sunbaked, which is a lovely natural flush to the cheeks without any shimmer, so perfect for day to day wear.
I’m really happy with my purchases and it was made even better by the amazing offer in store. Have you ever been to a European Sephora? If so what did you get, and do you love the Sephora collection as much as I do?
*The offer was buy two items and get the third for 1kc (so buy two items and get the third for 3p!) Quite an offer if I say so myself. Also the prices were really good; the cream lip stains worked out (full price) at about £8.60 while with the current US exchange rate, and their average tax you’d be paying about £10, so a great saving!
